The Ohio State Fair
Remember going to your town fair as a kid? The Ohio State Fair is that times a thousand. Held every August, the Ohio State Fair draws close to a million visitors each year. They come for the rides, games, contests, and of course, lots of corn dogs and funnel cakes. This is a great way to wrap up the summer. The Dublin Irish Festival
Much like Dublin, Ireland, Dublin, OH (just outside of Columbus) knows how to throw a party. The Dublin Irish Festival is known as the world’s second-largest Irish celebration. While the city predictably goes big for St. Patrick’s Day, the Dublin Irish Festival is held in late July/early August.
The Columbus Food Truck Festival
Food trucks are all the rage in Columbus, OH, so much so that the city has a festival devoted to them. If you come to the downtown riverfront in mid-August, you will see dozens of food trucks, musical acts, and arts & crafts for all ages.
